I have this exact same problem with k3b in gutsy. It also occurred in feisty on this same dell laptop E1505 with writer TSSTcorp DVD+-RW TS- L632D. It's exactly the same as described by Morty. The cd can eject but not insert itself, so when k3b finishes burning, it ejects the cd, then the popup asking to reinsert disappears too fast to respond, and then k3b aborts with the error "No tracks found to verify".
This is an upstream bug and probably can be fixed by getting this particular burner set up in the code properly. What information is needed to get it fixed? lshw shows: *-cdrom description: DVD writer product: DVD+-RW TS-L632D vendor: TSSTcorp physical id: 1 bus info: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:0.0.0 logical name: /dev/cdrom logical name: /dev/dvd logical name: /dev/scd0 logical name: /dev/sr0 version: DE03 capabilities: removable audio cd-r cd-rw dvd dvd-r configuration: ansiversion=5 status=ready *-disc physical id: 0 logical name: /dev/cdrom -- k3b error when writing and verifying DVDs using slimline drive https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/114758 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
