This isn't quite a duplicate bug; firefox (at least when run under gnome) uses gnome's font settings and sizes, but it gets the DPI values from X. Why doesn't it get all the settings from gnome? In order to work around this problem, you need to have firefox's DPI setting match gnome's. There are two ways to fix this. 1) go to about:config in firefox, and change "layout.css.dpi" to match the value in gnome's font settings (under system -> preferences -> appearance -> fonts -> details). 2) make sure layout.css.dpi is set to -1, then change gnome's font DPI setting to match the value reported by X: $ grep DPI /var/log/Xorg.0.log (==) intel(0): DPI set to (100, 100) $ xrdb -query | grep dpi Xft.dpi: 100.000000 -- Font size in Firefox and Thunderbird https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/121738 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
