Public bug reported: The clonezilla package is radically broken and should be removed.
I've been trying to use the Clonezilla version distributed with Ubuntu for at least the last 2 years, to backup disks, and it never successfully backed up a disk. Since the package is clearly unmaintained, and the maintainer, if there is one, never even tried to run it, it should be removed from the repository. There is no purpose for it other than wasting people's time. In order to reproduce the issue(s), start Ubuntu from a USB and just try to backup a disk. Note that I've been a user, for the same amount of time, of the standard Clonezilla version (ISO distribution), and it always worked, so I know how to use the tool.
