That's exactly what was done in the most recent version:

        echo "Samba is not being run as an AD Domain Controller, masking 
samba-ad-dc-service."
        echo "Please ignore the following error about deb-systemd-helper not 
finding samba-ad-dc-service."

I agree it's not optimal, and we should probably keep this bug open
because of that. But it's definitely not a fatal error, and if something
broke, the real error is elsewhere.
