Hello. I think you can close this bug: the update from 2.2.2-5 to 2.2.2-5ubuntu0.16.04.3 seems to have solved it. I just recorded 2 minutes of HDTV=1440x1080 in 64 MB, using less than 65 % of the CPU: everything is fine, now...
