It's very easy to install PDT using the all-in-one package (if you are
using KDE you might need to install the gnome packages) (tested on
Feisty and Gutsy):

1. download the all-in-one package (e.g.
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/tools/pdt/downloads/drops/R20070917
/all-in-one/pdt-all-in-one-1.0-R20070917-linux-gtk.tar.gz)

2. extract somewhere nice (/opt/eclipse3.3/)

3. chmod +x /opt/eclipse3.3/eclipse

4. run it - /opt/eclipse3.3/eclipse
