Public bug reported: I start fcitx through terminal, getting some normal-looking output(attached). The process shows up, consuming over 1GB of memory. There's no popup, nothing on the notification area, it just runs invisibly. Tracking it through htop, I can see the memory usage grow at the rate of about 100MB per second. It doesn't respond to TERM, and if I don't kill the process it hangs the entire system after about 30 seconds, presumably just by eating too much ram.
I've been trying input methods out and messing with configs, but before reporting this bug I did apt-get purge on all of them ( ibus, fcitx, scim) and installed fcitx from scratch, and the result is the same.
