I noticed that not only firefox ignores msttcorefonts, but it generally displays every character, with ugly fonts (even the letters of firefox itself and not the websites' appear ugly). I manually downloaded firefox from the Mozilla website (firefox 2.0.0.8) and everything looked perfect. Characters in websites, and characters of firefox itself, looked brilliant.
