I am seeing this problem with several Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS server
installations.

considering log /var/log/btmp
error: skipping "/var/log/btmp" because parent directory has insecure
permissions (It's world writable or writable by group which is not "root") Set
"su" directive in config file to tell logrotate which user/group should be used
for rotation.

# ll -d /var/log/
drwxrwxr-x 17 root syslog 4096 Aug 13 21:31 /var/log//
