The name should be changed, since this affects my dell d410 too (problem
exactly as described, in kubuntu 7.10).

I don't know is a configuration problem, or if something's compiled 
incorrectly, but I just dpkg-reconfigured:
xserver-xorg-video-intel, 915resolution, acpi, acpid, acpidump, acpi-support, 
acpitool and suspend2-userui
and I got no change.

Attached is the "tail -f /var/log/syslog" from an idle point, through
attempted hibernate, and back to an idle state.
