The issue is that chrome/electron enable the use of indicators only
under Unity, they need to be fixed. The TopIcon code handles the legacy
systray but that's deprecated and being removed from GNOME and shouldn't
be used nowadays, the correct fix there is to make electron use
indicators in our session which Marco said he had an idea about
