Public bug reported:

ubuntu-desktop package depends on gnome-session-canberra package in such
a way that it's impossible to remove gnome-session-canberra without
removing ubuntu-desktop. This is wrong, as aforementioned package
contains only few loud sounds to be played at system start, and is not
an essential part of Ubuntu Desktop.

I think it should be in 'recommends' section, not in 'depends'.
