Public bug reported:

Ubuntu server edition needs a hugemem kernel type to support systems
with RAM > 64GB. If this has not been to keep the installation simple,
this can still be included as another kernel type in the repository and
interested users can then download and install it from there. Currently,
to enable support for anything more than 4 GB of RAM, the kernel has to
be recompiled, like I had to. For that the kernel-source, libc headers,
ncurses and various other libraries need to be download to a stock
server system. This is a less than ideal solution, IMHO.
