As per Neil's disabling of Network Manager, when I disable it the symptoms also disappear. The only problem is that so does the Send/Receive button - it greys out. It appears as though disabling Network Manager also disables Evolution's communications hence no POP error because it doesn't try. -- Paul Hambleton [EMAIL PROTECTED]
