I successfully rolled back my xserver to : http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/x/xorg-server/xserver-xorg-core_1.2.0-3ubuntu8_i386.deb (feisty version, because everything worked fine in feisty for me)
I'll try at my next login and will keep you informed.
