I successfully installed 7.10 from the LiveCD without problems during
the install. I had to reinstall a few programs with no problems. The
only real problem, already reported were blank screens on boot and
shutdown. Editing the /etc/usplash.conf from 1280x1024 to 1024x768
fixed the shutdown screen. Using the startup-manager to change the boot
resolution from 640x480 to 1024x768 fixed the boot problem. I suspect
it was an issue with my video card (ATI Radeon 9000) since my monitor is
new (NEC MultiSync 1940CX).
