Just FYI everyone... I installed openSuSE 10.3 (GNOME CD and ADDONS from www.pcc-services.com, NO custom DSDT.aml in initram but.... with "acpi_osi=!Linux at kernel boot command line and guess what? again.. sound WORKS!!!!... so what's going on here?, enclosed is my dmesg | grep -i acpi file
