Public bug reported: I use Gnome with some kde apps like amarok and k9copy. When with those applications I use a file that is on one external usb hard drive, when I close the application, all my mounted usb drives are unmounted.
For exemple my mp3 collection is on one external usb hard drive. Amarok use this collection. When I close amarok, my usb drives are automatically unmounted. With k9copy, when I use a .iso file that is on an external usb drive, when I close it, my drives are unmounted too. And when I use a .iso that is not on an externel usb drive, my drives are not automatically unmounted. So it happens when a KDE app access to an external usb drive : when it closes, it unmounts all the usb drives. In syslog and deamon.log files, it's written exactly the same than when I unmount myself the drives : "hald : unmounted /dev/sbd1 from '/media/GIGA' on behalf of uid 1000" I have a fresh install of Gutsy64 and it's up to date too. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- In Gnome, Kde apps umount usb drives when they close https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156213 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
