The same problem on Gutsy Gibbon... Radeon 9200, 2x Flatron L1730P, and when trying to enable second Screen in xorg.conf (as it was on Feisty Fawn) - it fails with the message: "XIO: fatal IO error 104 (Connection reset by peer) on X server ":0.0" after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining." And then gets up in failsafe mode. No matter what I will try - Xinerama is just not working.
