Even if it's invalid, maybe it helps someone. After upgrade to 17.10, the transition from Unity to GNOME was not very smooth, as I had used Ubuntu-GNOME before as well, some GNOME shell extensions installed locally, and customized a bit. So the whole experience was a mess, to be honest.
What helped me most, was: 1. Uninstall ALL additional shell extensions using https://extensions.gnome.org/local/ 2. reset GNOME shell completely to it's defaults using a terminal and calling: "dconf reset -f /org/gnome/shell/" Beare - this will remove ALL customizations of the gnome shell and revert it to its standards. But 2 seconds later everything worked again als intended. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1711608 Title: Gnome Shell Extension Ubuntu Dock not working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell-extension-ubuntu-dock/+bug/1711608/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
