Thanks, that's a nicely detailed bug report. The first issue you identified is just that your Intel GPU is too new for Linux kernel 4.13 so you need to set alpha_support=1. This will be fixed in Linux kernel 4.15 (coming in Ubuntu 18.04).
The second issue you describe is bug 1724732. So let's keep this bug just about the first issue. ** Summary changed: - integrated intel GPU doesn't work with wayland on ubuntu 17.10 + Intel Coffee Lake GPU isn't supported by default (yet) ** Package changed: weston (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu) ** No longer affects: wayland (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1728313 Title: Intel Coffee Lake GPU isn't supported by default (yet) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1728313/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
