I am still at a loss. I monitored the cpu utilization On dapper vs edgy when using glxgears. I have a Centrino Duo 2300. When running dapper live cd, the cpu (only one is detected by default) goes to 100% as I would suspect it. When running edgy, the cpus (it detects both by default), are running uneven, one cpu runs at about 2-4%, the other around 60% when running glxgears.
