Public bug reported: This report is a pointer to https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=880504 , which has the same title as this one. A patch is linked to in that bug to fix the problem, which has gone into 4.14.0-rc7 in Debian experimental (sid), and has been merged upstream. Could this be back-ported to 4.13.0 (in particular hwe-16.04-edge) in Ubuntu, please? Are more details needed at all?
