The workaround of GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="" worked for me as well. If I
disable Wireless before reboot or shutdown this will also work.
my error was

wlo1 failed to remove key (1, ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff) from hardware (-22)
wlo1 failed to remove key (2, ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff) from hardware (-22)

Wireless Intel 7265D Rev 200. iwlwifi-7265D-29.ucode
kernel 4.13.0-16-generic
