Odd, but if so it would indicate to be more an issue of the network 
initialization then dovecot right?
I'm puzzled why for me it always worked (I had a single iface auto statement 
which gave me ipv4&ipv6) and then the hosts entry done manually.

I'm unsure where to follow on on this, so I'm marking it incomplete for now.
Do you think we can isolate an issue in the network based on this?
