I added the miro repository from http://www.getmiro.com/download/ubuntu.php to Synaptics "software sources". It is created for feisty but I experienced no problems with this version. The trick to get it running is to downgrade the package libboost-python1.34... as I mentioned before. I did no rebuild of the feisty package, nevertheless it works. Version 0.9.8.1, which is available in the gutsy-repo, has database problems (see bug report), maybe due to version conflicts.
