I have the same problem on my ASUS P5GD1 Pro with the latest stable BIOS (Rev. 1012). I can confirm this trouble with Feisty 7.04 and now with Gutsy 7.10. Please find in attach my dmidecode.out and two text files with the messages displayed during the shutdown process.
