@dmytriy--I suspect your suspend/resume problems are unrelated simply because there are hundreds of different problems in that area. I suggest searching Ask Ubuntu or Linux & Unix sites. For example, my Alienware AW17R3 with i-7 6700HQ (Skylake) wouldn't suspend/resume because of NVMe M.2 Gen 3.0 x 4 SSD. The solution, for me and a few others, was to put a kernel command line parameter in /etc/default/grub.
