ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon.
with
xfonts-wqy - WenQuanYi Bitmap Song CJK font
installed. When using firefox to browser Chinese fonts web page, it become
extremely slow. for example the google china blog website below:
http://googlechinablog.com/
The current work around of this is to disable pango
at beginning of
/usr/lib/firefox/firefox
add
export MOZ_DISABLE_PANGO=1
