I have this problem in Xubuntu 16.04 with HWE kernel, on my Thinkpad X1 carbon 4th gen (2016).
uname -a: Linux Godel 4.10.0-42-generic #46~16.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Mon Dec 4 15:57:59 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux lspci | grep -i network: 04:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 8260 (rev 3a) I've been using: killall nm-applet; nm-applet & very regularly in the past couple of weeks when I've been using a different wifi router. I don't think this was happening to me in the past. Has anyone seen a change in behaviour, whether due to updates or change in usual physical location? Another Thinkpad on the same network with the same install and kernel, an old X120e running an AMD cpu and a Realtek RTL8188CE wireless card, does *not* seem to exhibit this problem. i.e., nm-applet shows the correct icon and shows all available wifi APs after multiple suspend resume cycles. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1575655 Title: the network indicator shows the wrong status To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-applet/+bug/1575655/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
