I'm having the same problem, no boot with 108, works fine with 104, on a machine with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz and NVDIA proprietary drivers. The boot process stops almost immediately.
I took a picture of the kernel error message (attached), apologies for the poor quality, but it is the best I could manage. ** Attachment added: "Picture of the kernel error traceback" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1742323/+attachment/5034227/+files/IMG_20180110_092426.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1742323 Title: Meltdown Update Kernel doesnt boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1742323/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
