I'm having the same problem, no boot with 108, works fine with 104, on a
machine with Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-5820K CPU @ 3.30GHz and NVDIA
proprietary drivers. The boot process stops almost immediately.

I took a picture of the kernel error message (attached), apologies for
the poor quality, but it is the best I could manage.
