Hi Rick, this auto-submitted bug is for another separate issue on your computer -- triggers looping during package installation.
It'd be best to file a new bug about your trouble logging in. Use dpkg -l 'nvidia*' | grep '^ii' to find out which nvidia packages are installed, and use ubuntu-bug nvidia-.... on whichever version is the newest. At least I think that's most likely package responsible for your issues.
