Smartctl reports a temperature of 49 degrees, which I'm not too worried about. I haven't tested power consumption yet. My settings allow the harddrive to switch off after 5min of inactivity when on battery, and power management isn't completely disabled when on battery. I basically just want to save my drive at the moment -- once this bug gets fixed I'll revert to the (new) default settings.
