The upstream GParted team added a work-around to version 0.30.0 to enable it to run seamlessly under Wayland.
See https://gparted.org/news.php?item=214 Unfortunately the packager for Ubuntu decided to not use the --enable- xhost-root work-around. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gparted/+bug/1737248 The consequence is that GParted only runs seamlessly on X, and not on Wayland. You might try petitioning the packager who made the decision. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1726545 Title: Gparted not working in Wayland Ubuntu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gparted/+bug/1726545/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
