Here are two xorg.conf files generated by displayconfig-gtk. They are both set up with only one monitor (the internal display of the laptop), one with the intel and one with the i810 driver. Both do not work at all for me. In both cases X does not start and Bulletproof X gets triggered.
Another problem is that when using displayconfig-gtk from within Bulletproof X, it does not save the configuration in xorg.conf. X comes up with the configuration of Bulletproof X (vesa driver, 800x600) after closing displayconfig-gtk.
