Do you use brightside? If so, this could be the same bug as #147531. It happens the same to me but it seems that it's caused by brightside. My workaround is to kill the brightside process (you should mark it to no-restart and remove it from the session manager), change again the number of rows and, if you want to, start brightside manually. The problem is that you should start brightside manually everytime you restart your computer.
