This is the error I get when trying to compile rt73:

It says that it built successfully, but no, it doesn't.  It produces an
error that I assume has something to do with the fact that the module no
longer supports monitor mode or packet injection, and I purchased this
wireless card for ONLY this purpose.

[REGRESSION] wusb54gc wireless card no longer supports monitor mode, packet 
injection, and now using rt73usb instead of rt73, cannot compile rt73 either 
(Ubuntu 7.10)
