Or much more likely, it has simply nothing to do with either ATI cards, drivers or even compiz for that matter. I've had this freezing+blinking led issue since Gutsy on various machines, without compiz or desktop effects, even in a live cd envorinment with nothing extra installed, with both ati and nvidia cards, running opensource, binary and even vesa drivers!. Also, be careful also thinking you cured it when you changed something, on my machines the bug can bite several times per hour, and then without changing anything, the machines can work flawlessly for days without trouble. I can't spot any pattern in it. So I really don't know who classified this bug as "ATI+Compiz" or why, but I see no reason to assume it is directly related to either. Its just that the original reporter happened to have an ATI card and did enable Compiz. That doesnt prove anything. Then filtering out users suffering what appears to be exactly the same problem that do not have ATI or do not have Compiz makes no sense to me. -- X freezes when compiz is enabled on ATI cards https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108527 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
