Personally I think it's a very bad idea to encourage users to manually change system conffiles (/etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/scim is one of them) when there is an alternative. The alternative, and the proper way to use scim-bridge IMO, is to copy /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/scim to /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/scim-bridge, then modify the new scim-bridge configuration file, and run "im-switch -s scim-bridge". But since I have never worked on the help.ubuntu.com documentation, I won't change it myself, and leave the decision to someone who can make better judgement.
