Public bug reported:

I have an ATI Radeon 9000 ATLANTIS 128MB DDRAM DVI/CRT video card. My
problems started when I upgraded to 7.10. The resolution was low,
blurry, etc. I installed a restricted driver that was reported missing:
ATI accelerated graphics driver. Installing that seemed to fix the
graphics. When I tried to run Google Earth, however, I get:

Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".

If I do:

$ fglrxinfo
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
display: :0.0  screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
OpenGL version string: 1.4 (2.1 Mesa 7.0.1)

Not sure if this is bug, but I have no idea what to do, which is not
nice. Ubuntu is supposed to provide some smooth user experience, so I'm
submitting a bug report: something somewhere needs to be adjusted for
better experience.

Also, I wouldn't mind if some clueful person told me how I can fix this.

Thanks!
