  But have reinstalled the whole system and everything works fine with
glx-new driver. I've upgraded Ubuntu five times since Breezy (it's
almost 3 years), meanwhile I've been using also binary drives from
nvidia website and later packages from ubuntu repository. So the problem
is somewhere there. It was the right time to re-install the system on a
clean partition. Already the update to Feisty was critical (only the
legacy driver was working for some reason). Now everything works fine.
  You may close this bug, cause i'm not able to give you more
information, since that installation has gone.
