Seeing this issue on gnome shell after recent 17.10 upgrade from 16.04
LTS. Anytime the screen turns off, my gnome session crashes.

// seems like everything up to date with these except for xorg
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
