Public bug reported:

When using the prime profile window to switch profiles the window becomes
unresponsive during that process.
This may take 10 -15 seconds or so to complete. If the user wonders what's
going on & happens to click on the launcher icon a pop up appears stating
window is unresponsive & offers to force quit it..
Doing so may leave the user's install in an inconsistent state & unable to
subsequently boot up.
An example in screen where profile was switched to intel but prime-profile quit
before the nvidia-blacklist.conf was created.
In this case prime-select intel won;t work & prime-select nvividia won't work
either. Only way out is to either remove nvidia* or put a blacklist file in
/etc/modeprobe.d/

During this new, extended switching process the user should be given
some indication the process is ongoing..
