Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: tsclient

[Wishlist item]

It would be nice if tsclient would use Avahi (ie. Zeroconf, MDNS, DNS-
SD...) to search for available VNC servers on the local net. KDE's
"krdc" offers this functionality, and I use it regularly. For example,
the vino-server in Ubuntu seems to announce itself over Avahi
automatically, so krdc will automatically show any Ubuntu box on my net
which has "Desktop Sharing" enabled - really neat!

In tsclient the found servers could be added to the "Computer:" dropdown
list.

See
http://avahi.org/wiki/AdministrativeAvahiApplication#KDERemoteFrameBufferRemoteDesktopClient
for details how this is done in krdc. Basically you have to ask Avahi
for services of type _rfb._tcp (try avahi-browse _rfb._tcp to test it if
you have a machine running with vino-server enabled).
