Public bug reported: I was trying QA testing for lubuntu in:
http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/389/builds/170809/testcases/1700/results "Alternate Install (No Network) in Lubuntu Alternate i386 in Bionic Daily" when i put FQDN hostname after selecting "Do not configure network at this time" show red screen: Invalid hostname The name "host.sub.domain.tld" is invalid. ... If i go back and put only hostname it works. It only happens with this network configuration, manual or dhcp/autoconfig allows FQDN names. ** Affects: debian-installer (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: lubuntu ** Attachment added: "VirtualBox_build-tester_23_04_2018_07_54_00.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1766247/+attachment/5125846/+files/VirtualBox_build-tester_23_04_2018_07_54_00.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1766247 Title: Invalid hostname when put FQDN on "do not configure network" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/1766247/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
