Thanks for Your answer, I installed 7.10 on a computer saturday and had the same problem. Looking for my files, I found that only documents are disturbed, that originally are written in MS-Word 2.0 to 7.0/2000. Later on I had no MS OS. Therefore all these documents I converted to *sxd in 2004 I think. Since I installed Ubuntu 6.10 I saved all files when I changed them to *.odt. In the attachment is a file, I describe. The original length is 7 sides and now there are 8. With best regards Ernst Meist
