I can confirm this bug, but on a fresh installation of gutsy. I reinstalled OO as described by slyrogue, working. After i reinstalled openoffice.org-gtk it crashed again. So i tried the standard ubuntu gtk theme: working, no crash. It seems it has something to do with certain gtk-themes, i use clearlooks-compact2.
