Correct to the final instruction of my last comment: At this point if "ls -l /dev/mapper/" now does show the LVM ** ubuntu --vg-root ** node for the root file-system you can try to continue the boot by pressing Ctrl+D or typing "exit". If those don't help then re- running the entire script might be possible instead using
