Regarding security: it seems that ffmpeg has retained jpeg-2000 support
during this time. ffmpeg's configuration,

ffmpeg version 3.4.2-2 Copyright (c) 2000-2018 the FFmpeg developers
built with gcc 7 (Ubuntu 7.3.0-16ubuntu2)

[...]
--enable-libopenjpeg
[...]

ffplay will display a jpeg2000 image, although I get a lot of warnings
about 'End mismatch <number>'.

Is ffmpeg not exposed to any potential security flaws that imagemagick
would be?
