Public bug reported:
I am trying to install Xubuntu 18.04 on an Ideapad 100S that has an
extra 250GB SSD installed in addition to it's built-in 32GB eMMC drive.
At random points early in the install process the installer crashes
complaining about the CD/DVD drive being faulty and possibly needing
cleaning. I am not using a CD/DVD drive. I tried installing from a USB
flash drive. The current bug report is after I dd'd the ISO image from
the flash drive to the eMMC drive.
An important note is that I successfully installed Ubuntu 18.04,
splitting up the partitions manually across the eMMC and SSD.
